CBOSS Centralizes NCC's Branches

CBOSS Corporation has successfully implemented the centralized information system in six regional branches of NCC.

CBOSS Corporation has been NCC's reliable partner for 11 years now. Over these years NCC has considerably expanded the geography of its business and become one of the largest telecom enterprises in Russia. The company provides its services in Nizhegorodskaya, Penzenskaya and Saratovskaya oblasts, as well as in Chuvashia, Mordovia and Tatarstan. NCC's subscriber base exceeds 2.7 million users.

Mikhail V. Petrov, NCC's General Director, says, "Mainly, our business skyrocketed with the support of hi-tech solutions from CBOSS Corporation. The successful operation of our branches is made possible by the advanced internal mechanisms of interaction and management. To unite and unify all business processes in the regional subsidiaries, we decided to create a centralized information system."

NCC's center based on the CBOSS solution is designed to:

  • Manage and control the company's subsidiaries
  • Ensure transparency of all financial flows
  • Consolidate and strengthen the company's leadership position on the regional mobile market
  • Maximize penetration of cutting-edge services
  • Pioneer into new regions
  • Unify tariffs and marketing policy
  • Enhance the quality of service
  • Dramatically reduce OPEX in regional branches.

Today, CBOSS experts have already connected branches in Nizhny Novgorod, Penza, Saratov, Tatarstan, Chuvashia and Mordovia to the centralized system. In the Saratov, Chuvashia, Tatarstan and Mordovia branches customer data was migrated from the legacy billing systems to the centralized convergent platform located in Nizhegorodskaya oblast.

With the thorough and professional planning and management, CBOSS was able to implement all 4 projects within the agreed terms (2.5 months) and virtually without service interruption.

In addition to migration of hundreds of thousands users, all tariffs (both postpaid and prepaid) of the regional operators were migrated. Remote service management was configured and customer interfaces were connected to the unified CBOSS solution.

Andrey G. Morozov, President of CBOSS Corporation, says, "Our technologies are strategic investments, providing the operator with all necessary resources to successfully achieve its business goals regardless of the current economic situation. They enable rapid response to the ever changing market demand and support effective business growth, for example, through re-organization, mergers, and acquisitions."

NCC's IT Director Andrey D. Morozov agrees, "With the centralized information system based on the CBOSS convergent solution, we are able to introduce a single standard for business processes of all branches, ensure exceptional reliability of our services by using an ultra-reliable hardware platform and, as a consequence, boost business efficiency. Undoubtedly, this is a strong driver of our consistent growth. Today 6 branches are already connected to the centralized system, and we plan to complete the project by the end of 2010."

Not only VolgaTelecom, NCC's owner, but also its main shareholder - Svyazinvest - are interested in the expansion of the operator's business. Alexey N. Nichiporenko, advisor to the holding's General Director, comments on the project, "Unifying operator technologies agrees with Svyazinvest's reorganization concept. In this connection, consolidation of NCC's regional operations is an important milestone on this way. This valuable experience will streamline centralization technologies vital for efficient consolidation of the holding's assets."

Svyazinvest is one of the world's largest telecommunications holdings. Its charter capital was formed by consolidation of shares owned by the federal government in regional telecom operators, set up in the process of telecom sector privatization.
