...And away in the woods we will scatter the dew...

Some spend spare time in front of a telly, some in nightclubs, others in pubs. And some are enchanted by vast stretches of wild nature, fresh air and fascination of the true freedom. Tourist community at CBOSS is the place where you are sure to find camping fans.

After hard work at a software company what can be better than leave all the hi-tech IT benefits far behind for the wild nature, spend a night in a tent and feel the romantic breathing of guitar songs near the fire? It was quite natural that a tourist community was established at CBOSS back in April of 2000. Camping fans decided on a journey down the Yuryuzan and Bereznyak River in the Southern Urals.

A few had experience of rafting, but a turbulent mountain river was a thrill to anyone. The journey down the Yuryuzan was not long if measured in miles, but in terms of emotional density, that was an Olympic event. Four pioneers went to the Urals in an enviously yellow catamaran.

In the meanwhile, glorious tourists were sailing down the picturesque landscapes, virgin forests, mountains with enchanted treasures and dwarfs underneath and ruins of abandoned villages.

It is generally believed, that Yuryuzan is sort of melting pot: one can meet people from any part of the former Soviet Union, and tourists adore the place. Our guys met people from Samara – they tagged along in five kilometers, considering the place, it was a teeny distance. A guy from Samara, who should be very grateful to CBOSS team, was literary fished out in the Bereznyak River when he fell off his catamaran on rough rapids. That could sound quite funny from a perspective but at that moment it was dramatic and extreme and life threatening as well. Rafting is where one should feel the difference from a lazy beach strolling.

Luckily, it all ended up well, and having lost occasional companions in the end: it was hard for a slouch catamaran to keep up with a swift canoe. Our travelers returned safe and sound, which was quite surprising under the circumstances without a sign of a trivial flu after occasional dipping in freezing water of awakening river.

CBOSS yellow catamaran went through all hardships with flying colors. We believe it has new miles of turbulent rivers to conquer. New perspectives open for guys from CBOSS. They follow the Sun.

In September, the team will take part in a role-playing Borodino battle. Not only it is a rare opportunity to relax, but also a chance to find oneself in the beginning of the XIX century without a time machine and witness one of the greatest battles of the Past. A practically real battle, that gathered huge audience, broke out – with cannons firing, guns clicking and masterpieces of marshal arts. The view was real gross.

In winter the volunteers for camping are few if any, a lot of work and after all, sleeping on snow is not a piece of cake. Although plans for the coming spring are fascinating, like biking the way along the Crimea coast on Russian May holidays.
